I am so head to hear how well Flika is getting on.
Yes, I can remember the despair when she refused to leave her bed and walk out of the front door. Her breeder came over and persuaded her it was a good thing to do, but she still looked scared and not keen. He then made me hold the lead and we threw a tennis ball and then she went slowly from strength to strength. I thought what is the point of having a dog if she won't go for walks. I so nearly came to sending her back to the kennels. This morning she went down the lane, tail wagging and so happy. She seems to love retrieving and will do 'go backs' 'get out' stop to the whistle etc. She seems to learn quickly. I asked Steve what training she had had before I had her, he said non, she was a clean slate. I just remember her the first time I saw her, submitting all the time to her siblings, that is why I chose her!Remember how you were so worried that you might not be able to take her on walks? I think you were both destined to find one another and to be together x
