No one is going to judge you, like others have said. At the end of the day you have to do what is right for you mentally.
Is there someone who could take him for one night to allow you to take a break, even maybe the local Vet or breader even?
I know it is hard, and each pup is different. This makes it very hard when you see others or hear how well it is going for them. You look at your situation and think 'what is wrong'.
Without turning this into me, this is what is happening here. When we got Vanilla she was calm, quiet (OK a little cry in the beginning) but settles quickly. Biting yes, jumping yes, but only lasted a short while.
Now with Honey she crys and howls the place down, jumps and bites like a nut job, licks plates clean, nicks things left right and center and basically is just an annoying little s$£t.
We managed to get her quiet a few weeks back but last few days she has started again. Yes I have an OH, but I am still on my own as such. Especially as it comes to the dogs I pretty much do everything (when it comes to the house work etc. same again but for other reason). Regarding Dogs OH has started to get the attitude 'she is your dog (for Vanilla)' and for Honey it 'she is becoming your dog' attitude.
We have wondered did we do the right thing in getting a second pup and it disrupting our lives, more by OH but still it does cross your mind. Especially when you are tired and you have to take a little one to toilet throughout the night until little one is trained and then the older one just as you are getting half an hour sleep before it is time to get up for the day.
Currently I am also thinking how can I get her to be quiet again for next week when everybody is out in the morning? Cant have her screaming and howling the neighborhood down...
So I get where you are coming from, but just maybe take a day and night out away from the pup? Especially if you are not 100% sure and there is just a little niggle of doubt.
Hopefully this does not sound harsh to you (or anyone else) and I have not just taken over your thread.
At the end of the day it will be OK no matter what, just remember that
