Gizmo is hospitalized

Well we are up and about and his walk looks to be about 100% normal now. His neck is up higher today for sure! Still a bit awkward looking at times but much improvement!

I really don’t like giving him the oral potassium, it’s a liquid and he hates it. But I know he needs it. Lots of treats afterwards to help with the awful taste too.

we still need to figure out the cause of this because it shouldn’t have happened. Least now he is stable and improving until his ultrasound and then hopefully we will get answers. Also rechecking blood work and urine in a week

So sorry poor Gizmo has been poorly, it is awful to see his poor head like that but hopefully he will keep improving

I don't have a cat and I know you said that it couldn't be toxins but there might be some plants in the garden that cats react to, eg. Lily pollen?
Just at thought, good luck Gizmo 😻

No, no plants like that. There is a veggie garden but that’s it. Such a mystery still, I don’t like not knowing ☹

Gizmo has been sleeping the whole day away. It’s hard because he does sleep about 20 hours a day anyways, but just seems worse now because he’s not moving around at all. Not grooming as often, or random zoomies. Lethargy is a symptom of low potassium, so I am getting anxious again but I’m trying to look at the positives.. like his walk and head improvement. He also didn’t want one of Axel’s kibble this afternoon, he did this morning and last night .. :( (he gets one of Axel’s kibbles per meal a day, just what I have always done since he was 8 weeks old)
