Homer being sick

He’s been a lot better this week. Then at mantrailing this morning he threw up his treats which were bits of cheese.
trainers suspect may be sensitive fatty foods. Now I have a bit of insight into what specifically is causing the problem I’ll make an appointment to see the vet.

after a while of being normal. Homer is being sick again. A few weeks ago he started bringing up a clear mucus type liquid, some containing a milky white substance almost like yogurt. Then last week mostly clear mucus but much more frequently at three times in the week, and all over our bed. I took him to the vet on Friday and she gave him Omeprazole to have twice a day before food. Yesterday afternoon he vomited a green foamy bile and did the same this afternoon. so I’ll email pics to the vet tomorrow. He’s fine in himself and eating, and pooping fine. He’s now only on Burns Sensitive kibble and almost no extra treats. Vet suggested I try royal canine gastro food.

Darn, that's no fun for poor Homer or for you. Omeprazole is great stuff, hopefully it will help and the vet can figure out the cause.

He does usually munch grass like a cow but hasn’t had much recently

I’m not sure. I don’t think he’s eaten anything strange recently. I suspect just an age sensitivity. He is almost 11.

I don’t think is anxiety related as he’s been quite chilled and there hasn’t been much of his usual trigger’s recently. He’s getting angsty with me now as he has to wait 30 minutes for his dinner after his medication.

I dont think the Omeprazole is helping much. He's been sick three times this week while taking the tablets before food twice a day. This time a lot more green foam.
Hubby did put some chicken scraps into his dinner and then shortly afterwards everything came out along with the green foam.

I’m so sorry that Homer is still sick! Do you have an appointment with the vet again? Is he having a temperature? I would definitely go back to the vet to have him checked.
