Homer being sick

It was a tough weekend. Hubby was still away in France and it was hot and I just could not stop Homer from regurgitating. I took Monday off work. got hold of the insurance company to check claims and got them to separate the adrenal gland surgery from the oesophaguS. £8000 win! Also saw the local vet and have arranged to be referred to RVC. Hubby got back this morning and spent all day with H regurgitating so he knows how I feel. H is back to the dog walker tomorrow but that’s just how it’s got to be for now.

So we have now been given the alternative drug Silendafil which is the same as viagra. It is meant to dilate the sphincter to the stomach so food gets through. Will see how this goes.

we have an appointment at the RVC on 28th September.

We went mantrailing this morning and a friend said he looks like he’s put on weight

Yes, its meant to relax the sphincter so that it opens up more and the food goes through more easily.

I dont know why but he's been barking and barking as he does when he's hungry and wants more food but he's had a full dinner.
Did he not throw this one up? Maybe the meds are working then?! Maybe he’s saying ok I had my first dinner but second dinner hasn’t presented itself and I’m ready for it 😋

Poor thing did throw up about 1/4 of his dinner. I think he was trying to tell us he was uncomfortable, he wanted to drink more water but he had already had some water and he’d throw up if I gave him more. Hubby and I said that we think he actually knows his body better than we do and if he needs water to throw up then that means he knows he needs to get rid of what’s left behind.
