I’m sorry Homer is not having a good week, and that you’re not managing to get enough sleep. My heart goes out to you and dear Homer

It has been a bit of a struggle getting food into him. He only wants waters this morning and hasn’t wanted to eat anything this morning. I’m going to take him to the vet today.

The vet has given Homer antibiotics for pneumonia. He has a high heart rate and a temperature. Hopefully he’ll begin to recover quickly.

I do so hope Homer will respond quickly to the treatment for pneumonia, at least that is a problem that will get better. Poor lad I wonder where he got that from.

It is always a risk that they can aspirate with the regurgitaion and then get pneumonia. We have been really lucky he hasn't had it before now. There was a bit of an infection after his kennel cough vaccine but I think that was more to do with the vaccine than aspiration.
So now both Hubby and Homer have chest infections. Hubby can't see a doctor until tomorrow. He's gone in to work so I can only hope he goes the the pharmacy on the way home to get something stronger for his chest cough.

Homer is looking a lot better considering how poorly he was. The antibiotics appear to be working. Its still a struggle keeping food in him and keeping the tablets down, at least his appitite is back. Hubby is on the same anitbiotics as Homer - comes in different packaging.
