Jambo not well

My mum’s dog Jambo is not good at the moment. Since yesterday he’s been off his food and very listless so we took him to the vet this morning, and they’re keeping him in for blood tests and rehydration. His blood has shown he’s got a urinary infection so he’s on antibiotics, but the vet messaged me separately and said it’s not looking straightforward
My mum is definite that she doesn’t want him to have any invasive treatment at his age (he’s 12), so we’ll see how he improves.

Poor Jambo, that’s a tricky age when things go sideways. Hopefully the antibiotics will help and the complications turn out to be more straightforward than the vet thinks.

I’m so sorry Jambo isn’t feeling well. Hopefully it’s just the infection and he’ll feel better soon. I totally concur with your mom about wanting to avoid invasive treatment. Snowie is almost 12 years old and I feel the same about putting him through anything more at his age.
