Alan has been allowed back to the "house" for a couple of hours and has left out food and water. He's hoping that he'll have free access from tomorrow. The fire has at last been stabilised, hurrah!

That's hopeful news, @snowbunny . "Ojala" that his smart pups ran away from the fire and will wander back home. I'd read yesterday that the fires in Tarragona were now 90% contained, so was hoping that meant you all were safe.

Terrible news this evening. Alan has found a dog skeleton under the remains of his bed frame. He believes it to be Dotty, the little Jack Russell, who was elderly and the least likely to be able to escape

That's very sad news. I'm sure the fumes would have taken them before the fire, but poor little dog hiding under the bed.
