Lilly is generally ok but not completely herself. Just having to watch the weight, increase her food a bit. She is drinking loads and sometimes needs out during the night to pee.
Her nose IS improving. Dissolving stitches not gone yet though. Will bring a stitch remover home tomorrow I think.



I have an appointment myself this morning so an going to call later this afternoon, see what she says.

Her nose does look like it is improving. Hunter says that sausage is the food of dog gods and Lilly deserves a whole sausage to herself. X

She has lost 1.5kg since she’s been on the steroids. Think vet is going to get us to try dropping the steroid dose down a bit for the next few weeks x

Her nose has certainly improved. I hope the steroids can now be adjusted to maintain that, but get rid of the annoying side effects. What a juggling act!

Those steroids are such tricky things. Do you think they are affecting her mood directly vs. making her feel maybe nauseated (thinking of weight loss) and that in itself affecting her mood? Asking because steroids make me feel dangerously depressed so wondering if something similar can happen to dogs?

Definitely not affecting her appetite.
She is a bit flatter than normal though.
See my vet said 10% of dog's can lose weight on steroids. In some they have a catabolic effect, just speeding up the metabolism.
Not seen that in humans.
