Where is everyone storing these tins & packets? We don't have the storage. The only thing we bulk buy is tonic! And that's stored in the loft. I'd hate to run out of tonic.

You can't be expected to live like animals! No tonic that would be the end

It’s just so selfish.

Like I have a 93 year old nanna, she can’t stock pile. She can only get what she needs as and when she needs it.

I can’t say I’m surprised, people generally are absolute bellends.

I had to go shopping this afternoon. I tried to do an order online like I do every 2 weeks, no delivery slot until next Friday, and very limited items available (My cupboards, fridge & freezer are virtu empty!) So, off I went with my daughter.......I can’t believe how empty so many shelves there were - no toilet roll, no tinned tomatoes, no tinned mackerel, no tissues etc etc. The last straw was when I went to get paracetamol which I need......NONE!! I just done my normal shop then spent the next half hour going round all of the local pharmacies to find paracetamol.......Boots had some, but would only sell me 1 packet - my daughter then also brought me some so I’m ok for the next 5 days! It’s just madness. So many older people were looking very miffed and distressed as they had run out of things such as toilet roll, but can’t afford to bulk buy. Why, why, why!!

We have a big box in the cellar as our overflow store cupboard which we always keep reasonable well stocked.
Tea, coffee, peanut butter, oats, flour, honey, pasta, tinned tomatoes, baked beans, chocolate.

Here if you have Meals on wheels they will now deliver essentials to you too ie: toilet paper etc.
