Thank you everybody. It really means a lot to me when people sent their messages.
My 45 min journey took 1 1/2 hr due to snow, ice and idiots on the road! It is a very high tech practice, lots of light and incredibly clean and a very helpful surgeon/vet.
The vet knew pretty much straight away what he thought it was but said it could be 4 things. The CT scan confirmed it. He cleaned it, removed grass and administered the anti-fugal medication. He actually said the antibiotics could have made it worse!
I have to ring back in 3 weeks to discuss snot as there is a chance it could come back so he might need to repeat the medication (maybe 2 more times). They have taken a sample from his lump, but we will have to wait for the result. So Hunter obviously hates me at the moment and has red mucus oozing out his nostril.
This wait seemed to go on forever...but finally I will sleep tonight.
