I've only just seen this thread. I'm so sorry Hunter is unwell - and not knowing what is wrong is always more worrying. I hope Thursday's appointment brings results.

@Loraseal Only one more sleep to get through. When my dogs have had to go in for an anaesthetic and tests to find out what is wrong the way I get through it is to think once I've handed them over to the vet they are in the best place possible and it's now the vets turn to do their job. My job starts again when they come home. When they are at the vets it's out of my hands, there's no point worrying (easy to say of course) and whatever the out come at least I then know what I'm dealing with instead of worrying about what I might be dealing with which is always worse. I'm sure the specialist will find the problem with Hunter's nose and the reason for the lump. He will be able to do everything he needs to while Hunter is asleep and by tomorrow teatime it should all be over and your job will start again. Just keep looking forward to tomorrow teatime.

Thank you for all the support. The worst part is that a year ago we started with the xrays after noticing him limping. That was also a prolonged analysis ending up with 3 months of no socialisation and 2 major ops. We really thought we had just got past that major hurdle and he was actually pain free. I promised him no more ops and now this.
He seems slightly better this afternoon and tried to get my pompoms. .

He won't have remembered your promise! Labs only remember food, play and walks - probably in that order!

I'm glad he seems slightly better, but perhaps your mind can be set at rest tomorrow.

I'm sorry that you've had to wait again, but he'll be seeing the best possible person and with any luck you'll have an answer by the end of the day. I know how worried you must be to see him so sore and uncomfortable - I had those same feelings of helplessness when Xena had sprained her back. Thinking of you today.
