Yay!! Good news indeed!

He was only given the medication when his nose was being cleaned out. They inject it straight into him. So no extra pills etc. Apparently antibiotics don't always work on fungal infections and can make it worse. I hope it does not need to be repeated but we just have to wait and see. That’s great! Has he finished the antibiotics now?
Yup - don't we often get thrush (fungal infection) when taking antibiotics?Apparently antibiotics don't always work on fungal infections and can make it worse

Re antibiotics, I have observed that it is standard vet practice to administer antibiotics without testing for bacteria. I think this is very bad practice, but I can understand that the dog owner is not going to question this in what is usually a very stressful situation. Including myself, when a few weeks ago I allowed my boy to have an antibiotic injection “just in case” of infection (I’ll write more about this in another thread, if I get round to it!).He was only given the medication when his nose was being cleaned out. Onwards and upwards!
Here's hoping one dose of the "magic medicine" works. It sounds like it's already worked wonders.
