He looks so happy and settled and he's smiling!Little StanView attachment 43633
See, this is what i mean when i agree’d with you that Stanley IS the best dog name!Stanley says with great name comes great responsibility.
Little Stan must make sure to follow the law of Labrador and always cause havoc whenever possible.
Thanks. I do need to hear this. I am still thinking ‘Homer did this? Homer did that’ but actually don’t really remember at what age he was when he started pooping in the right spot, just that he always did.Pooh eating is really, really common in young pups. He will grow out of it. So keep doing what you’re doing and pick it up as soon as you can and he’ll soon stop. You could also reinforce him leaving it with a ball or tuggy game immediately after he’s been.
Can you use a garden pen or barrier to make it easier for him to know where to go outside, and e.g. partition off the places you don’t want him to go? Don’t forget how tiny he is, so the easier you can make it for him to do what you need him to do, the better - plus if you’re anything like me with puppies, you’ll be pretty tired - so pick your battles, and at this stage focus on management and relationship building. You’re doing great!
I am in the same boat.....Not the poop eating!!He’s beginning to learn not to attack my feet and legs at every chance.
toilet training isn’t going as well as I expected.
He is mostly indicating that he needs to go outside. But I’m finding it difficult to get him to go in his toilet area and not on the paving. If he is about to go and I move him he forgets what he was going to do and goes off to case a leaf or a twig.
He also appears to want to eat his poopI have managed to clean up after him quickly so he doesn’t get to it but certainly something I don’t want him to think he can do.
I'm trying to reconcile the words 'chilled' and 'relaxed' against our experience with puppy Maxx.
This sounds pretty good to me ! He's still very very tiny.He is mostly indicating that he needs to go outside.
Perfect for you, just what you wanted isn't he?He’s just such a snuggle pup
