In this last week Stanley has begun to ignore his recall. Just a bit and does come back but in his own time or just wait where he is for me to catch up to him or if he has something like my shoe he will start playing games come just close enough for me not to be able to catch him then dart away. He’s also found out how to open the bin in the cottage we are staying in!
He’ll be 9 months on Saturday!

What do you do when he doesn't listen to his recall?

Call louder! I’ve been giving him better treats but I think I’ll need to cook some sausages and chicken pieces for him. I think I also need to keep him a bit closer so I can stop him going off too far and getting too interested.
I used a technique with Homer where I’d run and call excitedly in the opposite direction.
Stanley’s recall has been so good until now so really want to keep it that way.
