And any tips on toilet training in winter?
I did a cheeky thing with my last two GD pups and Ted while they were waking in the night for wee wees. (A week with Echo, a bit longer with Ted)

I had an upstairs crate by my bed. When they woke I took them in the bathroom to wee on a puppy pad. If they missed the pad I mopped up with it. Popped it all in a poo bag and dealt with it on the morning.

I also had a crate downstairs for proper, careful crate training. The one upstairs was smaller - just big enough for a puppy bed.

Definitely no other puppy pads. It worked a treat. None of them showed any inkling to wee in bathrooms when older and it meant I could use a night light and disturb both our sleeps a little as possible.

They transferred to sleeping downstairs once dry at night and happy in their crate.

All de-crated at six months old.

Brilliant idea. I had mine in a cardboard box by my bed to begin with but Boogie's idea is so much better.
