Needing to go out in the night

Three times this week , Reubs has been crying at the bedroom door to be let out for a poop , any time between 3 and 5a.m. He does a perfectly normal poo , but this is not like him at all . I cant think of anything that has changed , he is on the same food he always has been, has breakfast around 7.30 , tea at around 4 and a small handful of kibble before bed . He had two good walks yesterday, poo on both of them so I cant understand this , wondering if its his teatime meal that is too early ? When he went for his Lepto shot a week ago , he had a check up and weighed , declared fit and healthy , I`m now wondering if maybe the shot could have upset his system , any thoughts please ? xx

The happens with Meg. She sometimes just gets out of rhythm. Feeding routine is always the same. Sometimes she goes for a wee last thing, comes in and has supper, then OH gets ready for bed and before he's even got into bed she wants out again for a poo. Other times she gets me up at 1am or 2am for a "normal" poo.

It is so not like him , they usually go out for their last wee or poo at around 10.30 p.m. and he usually sleeps until 7-7.30 a.m. I might reduce his food intake a little and see if that helps as he is desperate for a poo when he wakes me in the early hours, most unlike him xx

Homer will still wake me up from time to time during the night. Sometimes he'll just sniff in the garden but often he will poop. I'm often awake in the night anyway so Homer and I have our midnight wanderings while hubby sleeps through it all.

I`ve just looked at the feeding guide for the Skinners Field and Trial and bearing in mind that they always err to the higher amount of food , it seems I have been giving Reuben too much , about 25% too much . I will reduce slightly , he is a very slim dog so I cant cut him down too much too quickly but also I add to the kibble, humm x

How much do you feed Reuben Kate? Charlie is on Skinners Salmon and Potato and gets 350 grams per day plus twice a week sardines or cooked chicken, left over veggies. I have just increased his by 50 grams as his exercise levels have increased since his surgery. He is 32 kilos, tall, leggy and slim like Reuben. xx

I have been giving him about 500 grams per day split into two meals , plus his beef mince and veggies, most likely 50 grams per meal too much . He is a greedy boy , typical Lab , often has sardines on his too like Charlie , time to cut it back nice and gently xx

Coco has 180g of Skinners plus a tin of dog food, Meg(an) Sparkle is currently on 130g plus a wet tray - she's so hard to balance, I've cut her down because of huge, soft poos (and a little too much rib covering - she was too ribby not so long ago)..

Last week so got me up at 3am just to look through the gate, no wee, no poo, grrrrr
