Nelly's dog attack journey ❤️

I think Kate (Beanwood) mentioned this at some point but perhaps a local newspaper might be interested in running an article about what happened to poor Nelly. That may encourage the owner to do the right thing - and if it doesn't it may at least help to identify her for a civil claim.

Thank you all, for your love, support and donations . I cant begin to say how much I dislike asking for help but this has come out of the blue for us . @Jen is right , Police cannot pursue payments , all they can do is to visit the owners and tell them that the dog must be kept on lead and muzzled in public . We are both worried terribly about little Nelly , but she has eaten some cold meat this evening , not a lot but its something and bless her, she asks to go out for a wobbly wee . If we can knock this infection , we can relax a little although she may well need more surgery on the wounds . Sue hopes that they may heal by secondary intention so fingers crossed . We are back at the Vets on Wednesday . Thank you again , not just for donating but for support, it means the world xxxx

Oh friends , the friend of the mastiff owner has messaged me with the full name of the owner ! She says she hates what her friend has done and can no longer keep her as a friend . So , I have found her profile , , she is local and so I will contact the police tomorrow , at least there will be some justice for Nelly xxx Obviously, although its tempting , I am not contacting her myself , it would alert her to the fact that I know her name etc .I`ll leave it to the Police to visit . Ironic though , that she says she cant pay, but as well as owning this damned dog , she also breeds French Bulldogs and currently has some for sale, humm xxx

I am so glad that her ‘friend’ has contacted you and given you her details. Can’t believe she has puppies for sale with the mastiff at the same house! She should make enough from the sale of the pups to pay the costs for Nelly.
I am glad Nelly has eaten tiny bits. I expect the shock will impact her eating. I am keeping everything crossed for her xx
