New collar and lead

I do like a leather collar myself, with a buckle. Unless he has siblings or dogs he plays with frequently, then a quick release fastening is important.
Lilly usually suited a narrower collar, but she had a shorter neck than some (like me).

I love Scrufts Collars but you need at least 2 since they are fabric 😉

I really like the Red Dingo collars - they last and, most importantly, wash really well after fox poo rolls. I’m about to buy the next size up for Cassie. The leather one does look lovely though so if he never rolls, I’d be tempted by that one.

We like the Ruffwear collars. And more. Mainly we wear Ruffwear. I have double ended Grippy leads so I can use their collar and harness or head collar ( sadly ) and collar or harness. Love the Grippy leads (another thanks to @SwampDonkey for showing these).

I do like to see a nice leather collar, but not for us :(

We don’t tend to use collars these days, just harnesses on walks - but the Dog Copenhagen collars are great - wash beautifully, never seem to wear, solid fixings, easy release clip and they do a padded version. And we use the double ended Halti training leads - they’re robust, lots of options for length and handling, and wash well. I’m not keen on their ethics so wouldn’t buy again, but the ones we have will last a very long time.

Though now that you mention it maybe Chewie needs a new collar...
Yeah, Cass definitely needs a new one !

She has had one of these since she was about 12 months, very durable.

It's still perfectly serviceable, but I fancy a change. She only wears a collar when we go out, I always take it off in the house.

I love the Halti leads but like you, I really don’t like buying from them. I previously tried so many different leads with Holly and ended up giving all of them away to our local rescue centre. Once I found the Halti lead, I stuck with that as it is so flexible and soft to hold and it washes really well. So I have recently bought a new one for Cassie (reluctantly).
