She agreed that ABs would be a good “suck it and see” first approach, so she prescribed amoxicillin for a week to see if it clears it up. If not, we’ll have to somehow get her captured for a blood draw, which would set us back a lot. So everything crossed that this works out.

So, Nisha needs to see the vet. A week in and the ABs don't seem to have had any discernible effect. Then yesterday, I saw a lump....
I had noticed it before, but she tends to hold her tail right down most of the time, and I'd thought it was just a burr or something. I had my camera with me and managed to get a snap of it. Yeah, not a burr
So now we need to get it tested and we're going to undo all the good work we've done, and I'm feeling quite down about that because she's been coming on really well recently and the last thing I want is to destroy the tiny bit of trust she's gained in me.

Those are beautiful photos. I wouldn't have even recognised Nisha - her whole face (and ears!) is transformed. And I have a serious soft spot for Talia. She reminds me of my Mama Jodhi.

I’m hoping to get a reply from the vet tomorrow or Tuesday with regards a plan of action, but the vet will hopefully come here rather than us taking her there. I can’t imagine it being possible for us to get her from here to there safely.
