Not too bad a night , amazingly !

I love how happy you seem. That's the best gift :)
What a lovely thing to say , thank you . Reuben has brought such joy to both of us , we love him dearly . Silas loved him at first , then seemed to go cold due to the biting and in truth, Reuben isn't too much of a biter , only when he gets his manic moments, plus I think a degree of realisation that Reuben isn't Sam come back . Now , things have slowly changed , Reuben adores Silas just as Sam did before him , and Silas in turn in becoming closer to the little lad , laughing at his antics and playing with both of them . He is hard work , but I am loving our little training sessions , as is he , roll on little walks ! xxx

Ooh, that first walk is so special!
Yes, the puppy months are so special but can also be really difficult, probably especially for children who can't rationalise as well when the puppy bites hurt them. I think it's so exciting to watch their personalities develop and to see glimmers of the dog they will become - as @HAH said, you can see in his face how he might look when he's older, but you get those same little twinkles of personality that are more than just "average puppy", they are the dog that is to come :)

Another decent nights sleep , thank you little lad , I don't mind getting up at 6.30 a.m. Nelly gets up at about 8 , ready to go off to school at 8.40 , they greet one another like long lost friends and this rapidly turns to noisy play , bitey face , the lot . Then peace , but not for long, his naps are getting shorter ! We took Nelly for a walk , Reuben stayed in the car with Paul , then I let them out into the big garden , supervised of course and I have to say that Nelly instigates the chasing games every time , round and round the ponds , running through leaf piles , back indoors to chase some more and then to collapse, for a little nap . I`m trying to get Reuben to stay when his food appears, but whilst he will sit nicely , he is wildly excited at the sight of his bowl , so I hold it and turn my back on him for a few seconds until he calms down ! Farewell early evening telly , who wants to watch the maudlin news anyway ?? xxxx

That's just cruel !!!!!!!!!!! x
Me? No, not really, …..
And please define lie in ?
Cassie doesn't sleep with me, I come downstairs and make cup of tea roughly 6.45 ish, she says a sleepy good morning, declines to go out, pops into her favourite armchair and cuddles back down. Until 8 - 8.15 ish. She likes me to me about then!
But not of course, when she was 10 weeks of age!

Just catching up on this, Reuben is doing so well! His sleep routine sounds like a dream compared to the first couple of months with Quinn!!
