Off to the vets with Squidge

The vet thinks it’s allergies, even though the antihistamines did nothing. She’s prescribed prednisone for a couple of weeks, plus a hypoallergenic food. I’m not sure how I feel about the food, considering she’s fed home-cooked and raw, but I’m happy to try it out and see what happens.
Allergies are such a pain in the bum to narrow down, sigh.

Luna is the happiest dog in the world in the vet’s. She was doing full body wags at the door, jumping all over everyone. I always look slightly hysterical and completely incompetent when I’m there with her :D

Oh I bet the vets love her. That’s much better than Stanners hiding under the chairs and me having to drag him out and carry him into the vets office kicking and screaming!

Hope she’s feeling better soon poor little love x

Antihistamines did nothing to ease itching for my last dog's skin problems (Prednisone worked) and they only started when he was past two years of age. I do hope that it is a one-off for Luna, a reaction to an insect or plant.

Poor Squidge! The prednisolone will work miracles though I am sure. I would say she will then be back to her normal "bouncy" self....but....:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Glad Squidge has improved quickly. Maybe if it was insect bites or a particular plant that caused her to react it needed 24/48 hours to leave her system. I know if I get nettled badly it can itch hours after. The prednisone will make sure it clears up completely though.
