On the road… AGAIN? 🤔

It’s lovely to be seeing more of Scotland through your photos. I miss my trips to the west coast so much, but need to explore much more too… one day.

Not that I'm in any way biased, and I'm not saying it's better than Scotland by any means (wouldn't dare!:sealedlips: but a wonderful and incredibly dog friendly place to stay in the Lakes is the Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel in Great Langdale. It was an absolute favourite Winter retreat for Trevor and myself and we also loved the nearby National Trust campsite in the Summer. Both well worth a visit!

So, this morning I did the Go Ape Treetop Challenge
This involves high wires, Tarzan swings, zip lines, and basically it’s an obstacle course up in the trees! I had SO much fun, and mum watched from below (once she eventually found me!).

Here’s a few photos and videos 😍

Let’s gooooo

The 400m zip line to get me across to the course!

By this point, I had got the hang of it:giggl:

Tarzan swing

Each little course finished with a zip line, then I moved onto the next bit where I climbed up the ladder to get going again

Sophie, I would have had to stay firmly on the ground with your Mum! I'm very accident prone and a total wimp when it comes to heights unless I have solid ground under my feet. I can see the attraction of that though and well done for going for it!

On our way home, dodging windblown trees....

OH is home safely from Aberdeen - after getting there yesterday and setting up the band, gig was cancelled right before doors opened. Sensible. They also had to make an unplanned night stay out of it.
I think we have been pretty good where we were, relatively speaking!
Safe journey for you too
Just a bit blustery here so far. It seems to have hit the north badly, but also the south-west. My friends in Devon sent a photo of their neighbour's tree blown over their (new) greenhouse - fortunately saved from crashing directly onto it by the intervening wall. Just hope it can be removed without causing any damage!
