Have only this minute seen your post, I am so sorry it is a dreadful worry when they are ill. I have known at least three dogs with the same condition and they all became well again, so have hope. xx

She is home…..but we go back first thing in the morning. She was bought out to me attached to her drip which was a strange sight. Depending how she is, she may need more of the drip tomorrow. She is understandably very tired but she’s had a wee, some bland food and vet said to give her Pro Kolin. For the first time ever she refused it. I have information re the emergency care should we need it in the night.

Sorry if my lunchtime post was confusing - I was in such shock after the speed of how she went downhill during the morning - it was scary. Thank you all for your kind words and all the lambies

Poor darling, she does look low, but will feel so much better being home with you. Such a shame we don't have vets who do out of hours, but the emergency vets are there, but not the same and in my case a difficult journey away. Thinking of you x

Poor, poor Red, and poor you too. It's awful when they're poorly and seem to go downhill so quickly.

Thank you - I know you all understand. Our dogs are so very precious

She has had a good night. I made a bed up to be near her (not the best night’s sleep). She asked to go out twice - just for a wee. She greeted F with a very waggy tail this morning so that’s a good sign. She’s eaten some of the gastro food the vet gave us. We go to the vets early - I know this will incur another cost but need to know if more IV fluids are needed. So pleased that it was our vet we saw yesterday - fortunate she was working - she is very empathetic and Red loves her
