Red is scratching

I would ring your vet and then try and pick it up later today. Annie has this shampoo in the winter and it works for her.

Hope Red's neck is improving, it does sound sore poor girl x

I have heard some awful things about frontline by the way, I would stick to her normal meds if they suit her.

I hope it gets sorted soon.

All guide dogs and pups have Nexgard monthly. Tatze does too. It‘s very effective indeed.

Mine haven’t experienced any side effects and I don’t know any dogs which have - I’m in touch with 1000s of GD owners through our fb group.

It prevents ticks latching on too. Our Cavaliers used to get ticks very regularly, our local woods are teeming with them. But none of our pups, or Tatze, get them at all.

Nexgard is a tablet, not a spot-on. Spot-ons can irritate the skin.

Worth a try?

Do you have a flea comb? Or a very fine toothed comb. Try combing all her fur. You might catch a flea. If you get specks, drop them on a white tissue and wet it. If they turn reddish-brown, it’s flea poo and you can most likely confirm fleas. If no flea poo, then the itching is most likely caused from something else. Is her collar irritating her?

Yes just combed her neck with a very fine toothed comb and loads of brownish speaks!! Vets not open yet but will speak to them as soon as they are. Thank you

Joy has Simparica, a tablet to prevent fleas and ticks, once a month. It's very palatable, she sits and licks her lips in happy anticipation every time I get the packet out. No side effects as far as I can tell. Hope you manage to get something sorted out for Red. Fleas are no fun and it's very much that time of the year.
