Sky is unwell

Sky ‘asked’ to go outside this afternoon. I watched her expecting her to go to the toilet. Instead she started furiously plucking at the grass. I went out to her. She was making funny grunting noises. She eventually had a big poo and then started the grass eating again. I guessed she was wanting to make herself sick and she threw up twice. She then started panting and went and lay on the patio round the side of the conservatory (she never lies there). I went to her and gently stroked her as I could tell she was in distress. Then more grass eating for ages. Eventually I got her to follow me in but she wanted to go out again. Finally after what seemed ages, she lay on the tiled kitchen floor and looked quite exhausted. Throughout all this, she did the weird head nodding she’s been doing sporadically for quite a long time now. It was very upsetting watching her. Anyway, we’ve not fed her and won’t til the morning, she’s had her usual evening sniff walk and she’s settled by my feet.

So sorry to hear. Sounds like she was feeling very nauseous. Do you think perhaps a small meal might actually make her feel better? Some dogs get nauseous from feeling hungry (hunger pukes).

I hope she feels better soon. It must be very distressing for you.

Oh dear, so sorry! I hope she is more comfortable tomorrow! Can you keep an eye on her tonight? Perhaps she feel more at ease outside, or will the kitchen tiles do? I know that our old lady some years ago only wanted to lay on cold floors!

Poor thing, very worrying for both of you, hope you can get her comfier soon! We are having a few issues with Casper, it's horrid when they are unwell.

Hope she gets a good night sleep and feels better in the morning. Sure she will and be back to normal

Don't know what the weather is like, but she may enjoy laying out with you on the lawn if she feels the need to go back out again in middle of night. (I do that with Vanilla sometimes if she is feeling down/ill)
