Spencer is 13 weeks old today and a real personality. Heās been with us for four weeks. Heās a real softie and loves a cuddle and leans into us for a fuss. He loves Tatze (of course). Heās not too bitey at all until the evenings, then heās a looooooopy monster who flings himself around, bites everything and doesnāt know how to stop zooming.
Heās a mountain goat and can climb and jump on to anything. The other day we were happily having a G&T at the garden table - he took a flying leap from a standing start and landed on the table! (We saved ourG&Ts, excellent reflexes!). Heās been found on chairs, tables and window ledges
Heās a total horror with the lawn, he pulls chunks of it up with his teeth then plays with and eats the clots of earth and grass. As soon as he does it we come in or I put his lead on - I hope heās cured soon, as relaxing in the garden isnāt happening at all just now
Heās really easy to train as he adores his food and the āfixed tetherā way of teaching lead walking is working an absolute treat. I love it, we are doing ten steps-treat no problem now.
Heās having about two indoor wee accidents a day but all poos have been outside from day 1. Iāve never known a pup wee or drink so much! It must be the heat. He can do four, virtually one after the other. He runs to the door , goes out, does his wee then comes back for a fish cube. If the door is closed heāll look at me to open it. He wakes up at 4am ish for me to take him out for a poo but goes back to sleep and I wake him up when I come down at 7am. Me showering, brushing teeth, getting dressed etc doesnāt seem to disturb him.
He can do āsitā and ādownā and wait for his food and is recalling garden to inside, inside to garden and room to room. Heās sitting nicely to have his lead put on and doesnāt bite it.
We went to the train station yesterday and watched two trains and a long goods train. I carried him on and off a train. Bus station tomorrow.
Next job is to learn āwaitā
He was so exhausted after todayās ten minute walk he didnāt even make it to his bed.
