The great 15 minute wee (rinse and repeat)

Just spoke to the veterinary assistant: Carbon's scan tomorrow has been cancelled. She consulted with the vet and he thinks no need for the scan even as a precaution unless Carbon shows recurring symptoms. So I think the Great 15 Wee saga is officially closed. 👍

The silver lining of all this is that now we know a more local emergency vet. I was really impressed by the service and the people. I completely withdraw and apologise for my initial whingeing about the cost of the phone consult - it was more than fair and in fact probably a bit on the low side once all was said and done.

Well, my goober butt has finished his antibiotics and naturally has reverted back to 15 minute wees again. No apparent discomfort and otherwise bouncy and full of beans, but lots of standing there in the garden with just a dribble coming out. I'll give the vet a ring again.

On the somewhat humorous side, my father, armchair veterinarian, has decided that Carbon has a faulty prostate. Why? Because he has the same problems as Carbon! I've been treated to WAY too much information on the functioning (or lack thereof) of my parent's male plumbing.

Argh! :tmi:

But I am sure vet has already checked this!
The vet hasn't actually seen Carbon - all was done on the phone. Now I think it's time for a real visit, despite coronavirus.

what a worry for you x
I want to get it sorted, but truthfully I'm not all that worried yet. Carbon is wee-ing, he's not uncomfortable or painful, he's eating and drinking normally. The ABs did help for a while, so maybe they were simply not the right ones. That happens a lot with human UTIs. Let's just see how it goes...
