Hola todos!
I had a wonderful day with mis amigos Reuben, Nellie, Señor Paul and Tía Kate. First Reuben and I got to play in the garden and then do manly things (like take a siesta) with Señor Paul while ML and Tía Kate went somewhere and did something. I do not know where and what, I did not ask: I was just muy feliz, very happy, to spend time with my best amigo Reuben. Señor Paul may have also shared his lunch with us, but that is a secret I am keeping. I will only say that Tía Kate makes very delicious lasagne. Que rico!
Then ML put on her very special squishy boots and we went for a walk with trees and mud. ML does not like trees and mud very much, but she loves Tía Kate and she loves to see me happy, so she did not complain too much. Vale, ok, she did complain a little, but she is at least trying. I will forgive her.

Reuben is an excellent runner and has very guapo ears, no?
Que preciosa! Everyone loves our little Nellie.
Here I am trying to stay far away from Reuben's special mud hole. I do not like mud very much. I will stay as far away as I can and SNIFF the mud.

I prefer to stay dry. Here I am next to wet Reuben. "You smell a little funny, mi amigo!"
Because we are all such excellent dogs, Tia Kate gives us little fishes.

But sometimes you have to leave it to a professional. Here I am giving you "innocent yet smoulderingly handsome with a soupçon of a smile". I do not mean to be immodest, but really...am I not one very handsome Spanish gentleman?

Then it was time to go back in the car. I do not mind: I was tired and I love sharing Reuben's special car bed.
Reuben made sure that ML was not lonely sitting in the back seat. A nice warm wet nose in your ear is very comforting.
Señor Paul took us to see the oldest barn in Cornwall. It is a little like the ones we have in Spain. It sits on little mushroom stilts so the rats cannot get in.
Que triste, how sad - it was soon time to go home. ML stopped at a big grocery store on the way home and their computer held her hostage for 30 minutes. To apologise, the big store gave her these pretty flowers. As a Spanish gentleman, I approve of flowers. However as I was the one waiting in the cold car, I think the store should have apologised to ME with a lovely plate of sausages. That would have been so much better!

I've said before that little fluffy white dogs are aesthetically not really my thing, but I find Nellie to just be such a gorgeous little girl. She never takes a bad photo and always the sweetest look on that tiny face. And I'm always touched that she lets me pick her up these days - a privilege hard earned! I just love her.

Super photos, so good to see them and read what a happy day you all had. I can understand your feelings for Nellie, I have never particularly taken to little dogs, but we had a Pekingese brought in to the vet to be put down, vet just couldn't do it, so we took her downstairs into the kennels. At lunch time I took her out for a walk and fell in love, such an intelligent little dog, such character. We managed to find her a good home, but sadly that young woman died later from breast cancer, I like to think her son adopted Zsa Zsa.

Love it! The addition of the intro is a nice touch 
The duration thing is tricky. Perhaps you are asking for too long - which seems ridiculous when you are only asking for 3 seconds. But perhaps increase by half a second instead of a second until you are sure he gets it?
