Yes, that's true. That's why I thought Carbon's rope toy would be perfect for teaching the take/tug. But apparently to start out, it's too floppy. It's better to start with something rigid like a thick wooden dowl or a thin dummy. @Beanwood gave me (after Carbon stole it) one of her training dummies, so we'll use that instead.

My dear Siamese cats used to sleep under the covers, and curl up together, nudging me into the right position. Many years ago a friend spent a few days house-sitting for us, she woefully explained when we returned that it would of been really helpful if I had let her know this in advance. She is a tough old boot but completely freaked when 2 hump-like shapes started creeping up the bed!

No matter, I'm trying new things outside my comfort zone and I'm proud of myself for that. Sooner or later I'll find what works with my funny shape.
