Cookie Man had a muy bueno surgery and his heart is now salsa dancing at exactly 60 beats per minute. Cha cha cha! He and I are planning his escape from the hospital tomorrow - we do not EVEN care what his doctors say! I have much medical experience and I know best. Pfft!

Muchas gracias for all the nice thoughts: the Lambies have spoken and Cookie Man will live a long time to feed me lots and lots of more deleeeeciious cookies!

Now I must go to bed. I am a very tired Spanish Gentleman. Zzzzzzzzzz.....

Hola todos,

Cookie Man's heart may be cha-cha-cha-ing at the right speed, but his head is still a little dizzy so the doctors kept him in the Big House for at least another day. I have to respect the doctor's wishes, especially as ML told Cookie Man that if he broke out and came home early, she would call an ambulance if he got swirly-headed at home. He does NOT want any more ambulance rides, so he and I agreed that he should stay in the hospital.

Besides, I do believe I am very needed these days in the hospital. The doctors and nurses visit me on Cookie Man's ward or just meet me in the hallway and they almost all pet and hug me and thank me so very much. When I was helping Cookie Man's special friend Donna in the hospital, people were happy to see me but usually just smiled at me and said I was a very good boy. Now they seem full of stress and worry, so it helps them more to hug me and put their faces in my soft gentlemanly fur.

ML says this is because they have been working mucho mucho this last year and a half and have many worries and stress. I am glad I can help, even if it means getting extra kisses and sometimes even extra treats. I will bravely eat anything I must: this is the courageous Spanish gentleman that I am. Que bueno soy!

The photo I shared yesterday is Cookie Man's OR nurse who keeps coming back to visit. Yesterday she asked for a photo with me and claro que sí, I said "Yes!". She lost her own black Labrador señorita exactly one year ago on the day she met me, so she thinks that seeing me was her señorita's way of saying 'hola' and that she is still with her. I think that is muy bonito, very beautiful.

Sorry to read Señor Carbon, that Cookie Man is feeling a bit swirly head, hope it resolves quickly. You must be such a comforter for the nurses and doctors and indeed everyone, what an amazing job you are doing. To think that once you were almost put on the scrap heap until your ML came as an angel and changed your life. Now you are changing others' lives. Good to see that the hospital is happy to have you inside spreading your love and comfort.

Thank you Señorita Jelinga. I also think that I am doing an amazing job. I am very humble too claro que sí.

Pfft! I was always destined for a life of greatness as befitting my gentleman status. And let us not give ML TOO much credit. After all, it did take her NINE MONTHS to admit that I was her forever dog. Not too quick in the cabeza, my ML, but I love her anyway.
