Hooooola todos! Yet another walk today! Que bien! Today we went to someplace called "The Rumps". It is very pretty, but so are all places in Cornwall. Except maybe the car park at Tesco. That is very boring, muy aburrido, because I have to sit in the car and wait for sooooo long. Que lastima! Everywhere else, however, is very pretty.

I will share a secret, however, and tell you that the main reason I liked this walk is that there were SO MANY other people and dogs on the trail! And you know, that every time I am a very good Señor and wait for a dog or human to pass, I get a COOKIE! Que bien! Lo mejor! On this walk, I nearly ate my weight in cookies - or so ML says.

Here are some photos from today, mainly me being a good top model.

Doc Martin's house is just around the corner. We will go visit another day!

I am smiling because I am happy - and also because it was over 18 degrees.

You can see "The Rumps" in the background - it is that big lump of rock sticking out at the end, across from the little island.

Bueno, I could have used a drink here, sabes?

ML got a little loca on the editing for this one - she has turned me blue! She says she would like to paint me white just so my face does not turn into "The Black Hole of Doom" in photos. Pfft! My gentlemanly color is perfect the way it is!

Unbelievably beautiful scenery!! How do they grow such lush hedges so close to the sea?!
I do understand your astonishment because I think (from the photos you've shared of Snowie on his coast walk) that parts of the California coast look similar to South Africa. Very dry and not a lot of green, though we have a lot of succulents (kind of cacti) and coastal pines in California that give color. But pretty much 10 months of the year, everything else is brown. It's one thing I love about places like Cornwall and Ireland.

The trade off, as @Jacqui-S has so aptly said, is rain. In Cornwall, there are more sunny windows: even if it does rain at least a little every day, there is also usually a bit of sun (or at least no rain) every day. Ireland, however, is pretty much a drench of rain with some spectacular one in a million sunny days that keep you coming back despite the horizontal mist misery. 😂

It’s not called the Emerald Isle for nothing! It’s very rainy and green here in the North, but even greener in Ireland.

I was hoping the Bristol area would be less rainy than here - it is, but not by much. Interestingly, Dundee is the driest city in the U.K. Cardiff is Britain's wettest city with 1,152mm falling on it each year. Manchester comes in at 15, behind Belfast and Leeds. London is one of the driest at number 63 with a mere 557mm of rain.

Most of the time I am a simple, humble Spanish gentleman dog. But sometimes I am a heroic king of the Sahara, rescuing the helpless while wearing my oh so guapo traditional headdress and robes.

Or…I just got stuck under the duvet and stared at ML until she untangled my drying coat.

You decide.

Heroic King of the Sahara, Señor Carbón, without a doubt!
