That’s a great pic!! Where is it??
It is the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum gardens in San Jose, California. ML took me and Cookie Man because she has been going to the museum since she was a little girl. It was built in the 1920s and has all sorts of statues to look at and exotic plants to snuffle and wee on. There is even a maze and an Egyptian garden game to play. I enjoyed it immensely!

It is always a bonus to combine culture with a good wee.

Maybe we will also visit the inside of the museum one day during our stay in San Jose, but then of course I cannot wee, only look. That takes away some of the fun, de verdad, to be honest.

A temple (no me so a little boring)

Here I am looking pensive in the peace garden.

Oooh, it is almost like you are in Egypt. Claro que si, I have never been to Egypt, but I am a very well-educated gentleman dog, so I think Egypt must be just like this, no?

And here is my beautiful photo at the museum entrance without Cookie Man photobombing me. I do have to admit that he added a bit of spice to my otherwise very serious modelling!

I have been wondering how ML and Cookieman are rubbing along Carbòn?
Oooo Señorita Jac, because I am a very honest gentleman dog, I cannot tell a lie: it is sometimes not the most relaxing of atmospheres. Cookie Man loves me and shares ALL his food and throws my beloved Duck and plays with me all the time, but the way he 'plays' with ML is amusing for him and much less amusing for her. He calls it poking at her and she calls it him just being kind of a jerk. I am not sure what that word means, but it is what she calls me when I drink other people's tea on the beach in Cornwall, so maybe it is not so good? It IS very good that I am there, because they both agree when playing with me and telling me how handsome I am. Que bien!

However we are having a little break from Cookie Man and Way Too Many Humans San Jose, visiting mi amiga Mimi in Reno, Nevada. The only person not happy about this is Mimi's cat, Louie. That is because ML says I am a jerk to Louie (Pfft!) but actually I am just trying to make friends. De verdad, really. Is it my fault that Louie does not speak Dog?

We had a very nice walk near Mimi's house with a view of the desert

Then I helped Mimi get her hair styled at the salon. I am very discerning about hair styles...you can see how good my own looks every day!

Today we went to Lake Tahoe, a restaurant, and Virginia City. Lake Tahoe was a little boring because we could find no where to park and just drove around. The restaurant, however, was AMAZING because a worker dropped an entire loaf of bread right in front of me! Dios mio, it was like the canine gods answered all my prayers at once and were raining slices of deleeecious bread on my head!

But then ML was so terrible and did not let me eat it! Can you imagine? Pfft! They were going to throw it away anyway after it had been on the floor - humans can be stupid like that - and yet she said, "No, Carbón, you cannot eat that bread because in here you are an assistance dog and you must behave in a certain way to have that privilege."

Privilege?! The real "privilege" would have been to "assist" ME to eat that bread!

Luckily Mimi is a much nicer human than ML and she fed me chips under the table. Ahhh...that is more like it.

Then we went to Virginia City. It is an old silver mining town and now is mainly for tourists. It was not too hot in the air, but the black asphalt road was too hot for my delicate feet, so ML put socks and shoes on me. It was my very first time and I was not a big fan at first because it made me feel like a duck. Amigos, I am NOT a duck!

However once I got onto the road and my feet did not burn, I felt like a superhero with super powers. Y más, people loved me so much with my new shoes! I got so much attention with everyone saying how guapo and inteligente I am. I even met a nice lady from Chile who spoke to me in the language of my homeland. How excelente is that, mis amigos?

My first moments with new shoes

I am a shoe professional after only one hour

I am very proud of my superhero shoes

An old building with a hombre taking a selfie. Not ML's best work, but ojala! At least you can see a little of the old silver town.

Kids are great!

Ooo, that is a lot of American flags, no? And a sign that says, "Please no farting". Do flags and farting go together?

Head pats are nice.

Here I am with amiga Mimi. We are both ADORABLE.

You must be missing all the cookies, Carbon! As for being denied the bread, that’s mean! You would have had a tummy ache if you’d eaten it all, though, so ML was really being kind.

Glad you’re having a bit of a break, Emily!
