The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

Olá todos (I am practicing my Portuguese today)! ML and I had a very nice mini-walk in Port Quin this afternoon. Port Quin is an abandoned port village: it is said that all ships were lost at sea due to an unexpected storm and the widows all left the port out of sadness. Who knows if this is true, but the fishing cottages that are left do have a bygone and melancholy air to them. Sí, sí, I am a very sophisticated Spanish gentleman to know these big words! But Cornish history does bring out the romantic in me.

Rabbit poo also stirs my Labrador soul, so you can imagine how happy I was to see a colony of bunnies. I even started to chase one and ML shouted, “If you hurt that bunny, he won’t be able to make any more poo for you to enjoy, SO LEEEEAVE IT!”

And I DID “leave it” because I am a logical Señor who knows where his deleeeeecious trail snacks come from. Long live all bunnies!

Donde estoy! Where was I? Oh sí, Port Quinn:

And yours truly on the trail:

Her I am with Doyden Castle. It is not REALLY a castle: some wealthy señor built it to have debauched parties with his amigos. Not that I know about those kind of things, being a dog. We do not do debauched! Now you can rent the castle for a holiday, but I do not advise it. It looks haunted. And not so very cosy. Cold paws or a ghost: difficult to say which would be worse.

Finally we found a very hermoso Thinking Place. However, this is not my Thinking Face. This is my It Is Past My Dinnertime face.

Absolutely beautiful. And Senor, you are magnificent. But I was happy to see ML also making an appearance, if only just a leg and foot.
Pues, here is a special one for you where ML’s arm is the guest star. This is how I like to fall asleep: cuddling Monkey with my paw on ML’s arm to make sure she cannot sneak away in the night.

Now I must do some gentlemanly snoring because today was a very long walk and ML says tomorrow she has a veeeeeeery special surprise for me. Zzzzzz……

Joy very definitely has friends! Her current best friends are Alfie (Yellow Lab), Alice (Small G.R. about the same size as her) and of course Keir, who tends to forget that he's supposed to be a Guide Dog when he sees us:giggl:
Maxx enjoys meeting new dogs but is fairly one sniff and then move on. However if he sees one of his friends he goes nuts! It is so lovely :dug:

Oh amigos, I had so many good adventures yesterday and today! I got to see Amiga @HAH and the handsome Devon Señor Kipper (and a crazy furry lady named Flo) and today ML and I walked on a Lizard!

But I am oh so tired that as soon as ML lifted me into the bed, I fell into a snoring snuffling coma. Adventure photos will (mainly) have to wait. How am I writing this if I am sleep? It is just one more mystery wrapped in an enigma that is your Señor Carbón.

My head…

My dainty feet…

And my spectacular self today on the Lizard…

Oh Carbon, you are the luckiest dog in the world to have such full days that you are comatose by the night. Snowie says he only gets that experience of a verrrry full day once a week and then everyone sleeps well cos he sleeps solidly through the night without disturbing anyone. Your ML must sleep so well every night!

I am a little verspätet (lo siento, amigos, I have to brush up my German as we are returning soon to Regensburg), but here I want to share some photos of my muy hermoso visit with the handsome and gentle Señor Kipper and his wonderful ML (Mama Lady), @HAH . We met them at a magical car park in Devon. It must have been magical because I have not seen Kipper in a good while but suddenly he was there and it was like no time had passed at all, with the exception of us both having a few more grey hairs on our very attractive chins.

It turns out that Devon does look different from Cornwall: the houses are more grey and bumpy and the plants are just MORE, especially the trees. Pues it was quite fun to think that in only an hour we had been transported by the TARDIS to a whole other country!

In addition to sharing a communal sniff adventure with Kipper, we all sat in the sun near a leeeetle castle, we met a crazy bouncy Leonburger amiga named Flo, and Kipper’s ML gave me the best homemade treats EVER! Porque can my own ML not devote herself to such culinary delights? De verdad, I did consider throwing myself into Kipper’s car for this reason alone, but sabes, you know, my ML would be a leeeetle lost without me, so I selflessly changed my mind.

Plus she did break me out of prison all those years ago, and a Spanish gentleman never forgets. Ojalá!
