Hello again everyone! Here we are all settled nicely at home but guess what! The boiler, which was serviced in April and was fine when we left three weeks ago is now not working. AAAGH! ************! What next?!******* It was fine when we left! I think it must have been pining for us. I know it's meant to be summer, but this is a Victorian stone built house that takes a bit of warming through and it's rather chilly to put it very politely indeed! It just keeps saying 'Ignition lockout, check all other gas appliances' (there aren't any) ' Re set boiler' (I've tried that, to no avail). ' Contact installer'. Am I going to do this on a Saturday when it is no doubt going to cost a fortune? Well, the way I'm feeling at the moment, yes! I'm 61 years old, on my own, apart from the best dog in the world, I have a broken elbow and I don't want to have to keep boiling a kettle for a wash! Luckily I have a plug in heater, friends who I've met up with in the pub tonight, a lovely salmon curry from the freezer, a spot of wine, a sweetheart dog, you lovely people and a sense of humour. Really though! Whatever next? What have I done to deserve this?
Pee ESS, don't worry, I'm OK really in a weird 'Oh well, here we go again!' sort of a way.

Oh @Candy , what a palaver! Wrap up warm tonight and get someone out tomorrow, whatever the cost - you never know, they might not charge the earth...
and it’s ‘only’ the boiler; hoorah that’s it’s not a water leak, or funny smell, or a strange noise you can’t quite locate :D
Enjoy the first night in your own bed for a while. I bet Joy’s enjoyed getting reacquainted with the garden and all the delicious smells! X
