Unwell again

Maybe he's just eating too much or his tummy is maturing like everything else so he just might have good days and bad days. It's hard but things will improve
Hope so! Amazing how fast they lose weight in just a few days of being unwell, but I suppose he would lose weight quicker being he is also growing at the same time

@SwampDonkey ’s advice to me was so sound when Red was little and having so many stomach upsets. As I’ve said before I found it so distressing and questioned everything. It really added a lot to my puppy blues depression. She was so right though and helped keep me sane ❤. Hope this is so for dear Hugo

I agree, @SwampDonkey approach is very helpful! Definitely helps calm me down during stressful moments and serves as a reminder to take a step back from diagnosing and just focus on him being happy and bright otherwise, tum tum will settle down hopefully in a few days and if not, then other steps can be taken. I have high anxiety when I can't control things or understand why things are happening, and it's really difficult and I wish I wasn't this way %) But so thankful to be able to come here and vent out my worries and stress

I went home on my lunch to let Hugo out, as my parents were all the sudden unable to come be with him as their furnace was acting up. They had someone come in who shut the furnace off completely as there was a possible (I say possible because my dad doesn't believe him and wants a second opinion) carbon monoxide leak! So they are dealing with their own issue now of trying to find another repair man to come during this cold snap!

It is easy to start micro-managing! Sometimes all the switching of foods can prolong the issue, too. Especially when they are young. But I do understand the anxiety after a bad bout! Perhaps just stick with the food that hasn’t been causing problems for treats and dinners, and see how he does.

Yes, that’s what I’m going to do, just his kibble for the week then I’ll reintroduce the treats to see if that was the culprit. He had two solid poos last night and a solid one this morning, and he only had his kibble yesterday. So kibble is still good, phew!
