Ooooh! Look! It's so wet that a sneaky snail has slithered this far up the outside of my sitting room window! I'm 5' 10" and it's nearly higher than my head! Tempted to grab a torch, put wellies and waterproofs on and go out to protect my plants.
They'll just be back when I'm in bed though, and much as I love my garden, I'm not sleeping outside in the rain!

So grateful for the rain - we had some turf laid on Friday and have had to water lots over the weekend. We won’t need to this morning

We laid some turf too!

The shed thing was a duck pen, now used for hay storage. Going to plant native stuff where the brown mulch is now (next to the carport).





This is Obi not coping because his usual sun baking spot is covered in green stuff and fenced off.



So….weather…..would be good to get some rain so I don’t have to water the new lawn every day

I got a nice surprise today. I was hunkered down in front of my work screens with the heater on and very cold. Maxx came and asked to be let out onto the front balcony for cat watch down on the street. The glass sliding door to the balcony is in the same room that I work so I opened it and braced for the cold air......and received a lovely blast of warmth. What? I checked and it was 21 outside and quite nice! Windows opened immediately for some fresh air. Once the sun went down it went cold again and the next week is back in the high teens but for one afternoon it was lovely

It is absolutely glorious this morning. Took the girls out for a walk at 7.30 before it got too hot, and even then it was toasty! I was in my shorts and t-shirt at that time - around 18°C. It is now reading 22°C and the pups & I are just relaxing in the garden
