Looking on the rainfall radar this morning, the heavy rain seemed stuck over eastern Scotland when it was passing over other areas of the UK. I hope it eases soon - stay safe, @Jacqui-S and Sophie.

There was heavy rain overnight here and the dogs were extra sniffy this morning when we went for an on-lead walk. The wet ground must smell especially good!

Wet, wild and windy here too. We are kind of used to it, on the whole, but this is worse than usual yet again ( if that makes any sense!) We are too high up to be flooded in our house, but many of my friends are not so lucky and are currently moving important items upstairs and asking if they can move their cars to outside our place. My brother and his wife were due to come for the weekend, but have now postponed due to the weather. We have the Fireinametalbox lit and Joy looks pretty contented, so all is well!

Oh my goodness. I think this is the reason they took most of the ?Spanish pines down at Tentsmuir a few years ago because they were so shallow rooted.
Thankfully we haven't so far been too badly affected. A little flooding, some trees down/roads closed but we luckily haven't been in the red zone.
My MIL was to be going on a bus trip on Monday, into the Highlands, with her sister in law, but her SIL can't get up to Dundee due to cancelled trains.....
