That's wild @Emily
How are you all coping in the heat?
It's not that bad really. Yesterday was "silly-hot" but we're quite acclimatised to the mid-30s. We use aircon and the pool and the sea breeze usually comes in mid-arvo and provides relief.

An amazing cool change hit on Sunday night and chased all the heat away on this side of the country. I actually had to get a cardigan out of the cupboard yesterday and I even pulled the doona up in bed last night.
We don't seem to get the same extremes here as on the East Coast.

Yikes, that is a long stretch of very hot days. It's heating up here again tomorrow, but nicely so (high twenties, low thirties) which I am very happy about as we have the whole family (11 adults, 4 kids) coming on Saturday for a late Xmas and various birthday celebrations. It will be lovely in the pool and Steve and I are doing tapas

Last week was the same. Honestly, I actually find it so much easier to manage than when we were in Melbourne and it was so up and down.

A couple of weeks ago we had this random rain in the evening. I realised that I couldn't remember the last time it had rained! (although we get heaps in winter πŸ™„)

Oh that sounds lovely! Bet Maxx is excited to be entertaining so many guests 😍

Maxx will be a total pain in the @rse unfortunately. He will settle down after barking and jumping around for 10 minutes but he is still a bit too enthusiastic around the little kids so we have to hold him on leash or put a gate between he and them...which will make him bark more πŸ™„. We totally failed at the no jumping and calm around visitors. We have so few we've never been able to reinforce anything

According to the weather man West Yorkshire has now had no sunshine for over a month. I knew it was feeling like a long time, but that's ridiculous! We'll all be coming down with scurvy next! (Or is that lack of fresh fruit?🀭)
Gosh that's incredible and dire @Candy! I get depressed if I don't see the sun for 2 or 3 days

It's drizzly and cool here, although humid away from the breeze. Our summer has been a crazy yo-yo
