Weather

We've got a good day today, for November, here on the Welsh Borders. No rain --- hooray :). Light cloud and the odd bit of sunshine, a very cool breeze, nice and fresh. Dried up underfoot a bit aswell.
I had a lovely walk with Cassie today, it's just the sort of weather she likes and she was full of beans and happiness. Better than yesterday, when it was damp and foggy.

It’s quite nice here at the moment. It’s -7C right now (early morning) but will be 1C and sunny today. Any time we are on the plus side of zero this time of year is cause for celebration. It’s supposed to be anywhere from 1 to 7 (!) this week, but back to the negatives next week. I’ll take it!

40 degrees here today. And of course it's the day I have to trek into the city (by train) for a training workshop. Standing on the platform at 7.30am and it's 30degrees 😫
40 degrees?!
Come to us with Señor Carbon next year during your UK visit! Stay with GGJ and me in our West Yorkshire Murk! Meet up with Mags, Tatze and Echo! Maybe Pepper and Co could join us! Anyone else welcome too! It won't ever be 40 degrees though!

I hope the trains don't do a meltdown for your return trip @Emily - like they so often do here on really hot days.
I just read that there are bushfires started up in Victoria too. We have one in the Wollemi state Forest another in the Hawkesbury and another on the north coast that is making the smoke haze unbearable.

Yep, I think there are now bushfires in WA, SA, VIC, NSW and QLD.

We're getting a cool change come through with crazy winds and "rainless" storms (i.e. a fire starting cool change).

Apparently there's also dust storm in the north of the state

Nice and fresh here in Cape Town. My weather app says 16C this morning, only going up to 17C. At least it’s not blowing. The South-Easter can get crazy.

From our late afternoon walk yesterday. Lots of fallen branches from the previous day’s wind. I’ve been sliced on the backs of my calves plenty times from standing on a stick that then whips across my calf.

So sad to see the fires in Oz. Dreadful.

We've got a windy, dull day currently 5.6°C .The soggy garden has dried out slightly. We're at the time of year where the dogs are only allowed out one at a time, else they zoom around churning it up.

It was -2 last night. Today has been 2 degrees all day and extremely misty and gloomy ☹ . Our walk now is just slippery soft mud and slimy leaves. The fields have lakes of water in them and in places little trenches have been created to get some water to run off.
