The mud is getting to me - even with Wellies yesterday, I could barely walk in places. I passed a family walking and there was a little boy (3-4 years old?) screaming his head off because he'd fallen in the mud and was covered in the stuff, yet his family was still trying to get him down the path to the beach. I guess that's the training you need here in the UK to deal? :sneaky:

I'm thinking Carbon and I may have a day in town today if it's not chucking down. Pavement is sounding REALLY good right now!

Same here , re the mud, its horrible . The forest trails I walk are bridle paths so horses use them, resulting in a foul mix of mud and :poo: . I`ve pulled a muscle in my right leg , just with having to pick my way through it all and slipping x
Hope you can give your leg a rest today.

Yeah, yesterday I realised that I'd walked for 1,5 hours along my favorite bit of the coastal path (Mother Ivey Bay) and had barely even noticed the scenery, which is spectacular. Too busy watching each step in the muck (mud + cow poo + sheep poo). No fun really for Carbon as I have to use his harness nearly the whole time for balance so he's in work mode. I'd been avoiding the beach as that's no fun for him either, as I can't let him off lead.

But no matter, I'm really lucky that there are a lot of options nearby. Padstow village has quite a few paved paths to enjoy, so I'll just put on my mask and go for it. Carbon won't be off lead but he'll enjoy seeing the other dogs and people.

I wouldn't have thought hooman's could survive cold like that! The difference between your temps and ours yesterday was 68 degrees. It blows the mind really.

Today is much cooler though, only 24, but with a cool breeze that makes it feel colder.
