Here is a view from the newly appointed Muck-Cam. It is on the shed next to the birdbox, for spying on Meggy-Muck - she always disappears behind the bay tree. No snow. Even the forecast rain didn't arrive. I still maintain that it' cold though. Rhubarb is doing OK!

Cold, ice and snow. I have just tried to get into my shed and its door is frozen solid.

Mine too. I used the lock de-icer so I could lock up for work. Later in the evening, my son ordered pizza, and I had to give a really good shove on the storm door. It was frozen shut. I'll have to open it in a few minutes, so it can thaw enough for hubby to get in after work!

Red experienced her first snow yesterday. She didn't know what to make of it - she was frightened and fascinated. She was pulling on her lead on our little evening walk wondering how she could get to her usual grassy smells. F went out later to take photographs. Here’s one of the church in the centre of the village

It's 5.30pm and still 33 degrees. Thank goodness for air-con

Tomorrow is Australia day and a public holiday. The forecast for here is 39 degrees but a southerly buster is due in the afternoon/evening that will drop temps to low-mid twenties and bring some much needed rain. Then wet and cool for at least 10 days so back to La Nina normal.

Given all those nice and cold pictures of snow and play, thought I would flip it on its head...

To hot yesterday 43c+ with a good view from our front door in the arvo:



Evening walk quickly round the block, still about 40c at about 8pm.



And then nice smell this morning..


But at least rain this arvo that has helped get the fire under control finally...could do with some snow instead...
