How on earth did you get warm?
Well, you didn't spend much time in your bedroom that's for sure!

I don't remember being cold in bed -- in those days we had sheets, wool blankets and eiderdowns and a bedspread over the top which if you were lucky some nice person would tuck in, so you were very snug, probably with a hot water bottle.

When it came to getting dressed, well you just got on and did it with no dithering

How on earth did you get warm? I hate hate hate being cold 🥺
As children we lived in the coldest house, I still remember it. No central heating just an open coal fire. No double glazing, no hot running water, my Mum used to boil water for us to have a wash and put the geezer on for baths. I used to get dressed in bed!! If we complained we were cold she would say "put another jumper on" and I found myself saying that to my children in our previous freezing house that we left a year ago. xx

Several inches of snow here. Up at 7 to let Joy out into the garden, but the heating had only just gone on and the house was freezing! I have made a pot of tea and taken it back to bed while things warm up a bit. I just said to Joy 'Back to bed' and she went straight away! Think I probably said it a lot to her when she was a pup and she's remembered it. The camera on my phone won't focus, don't know what I've done or how to put it right. I took some photos of the snow and they came out like this!20210202_070552.jpg

What does the lens look like? It sounds like you may have some dust or condensation inside. I had to replace the lens glass on my phone a few years back. Top tip: it's super fiddly, and definitely worth getting someone else to do it :D

We stayed up in Speyside for christmas a good few years ago. It was so cold on the first night as the heating hadn't been on in the cottage, we wore out wooly hats and mitts in bed. And similarly in Dumfriesshire a few years later. Brrr.

Today it is ch-ch-chilly & we have much WetFromAbove and the 2 silly dogs love it. I believe there was snow further east and a bit higher.
