We have a huge family get together here tomorrow - really hoping it stays dry and warm enough to spill over into the gardenin Lincolnshire, I hope it holds off for them

I have a Parasol and it isn't waterproof anymore! Maybe washing it ruined it, though I have tried to reproof it. Hope Mr Boogie has a dry weekend. No rain here (yet) luckily I have a waterproof Labrador and a doodle who doesn’t mind Wet-from-Above at all and loves puddles. So no persuasion needed to get them out. My raincoat (Paromo) is thirty years old and still completely waterproof.
Honestly, I can't really complain and Melbourne's summer last year was close to perfect. We didn't cop the wet that you guys did and had a long and sunny summer without a day over 40.Yes I have watched closely as La Nina moved from 'watch' to 'alert' to 'its a bl00dy done deal'.
We missed the heat (and the bushfires thankfully) in 2019 as we were freezing our toes off in the UK and Europe. Followed by two cool wet summers and now another one! I love the heat and this is very depressing
That's because it's hereWell no sign of La Nina for the past few days
Oh wow @Joy my minimum is 28 (#whimp!) ! The pool was 20 today and it was warm in the sun but the wind was still cool so Steve, despite declaring he was going in, changed his mind. 14....I'd come out with ice in my hair I think!@Lab_adore Oh yes I'd be in like a shot! (I don't actually swim in very cold water - it needs to be at least 14c - but there are a whole group of people local to me who swim in the sea or river all year round.)
