Our lanes are still lethal with black ice and we have to be at the Vets in nearby Liskeard at 9 tomorrow morning . Cornwall does not have many gritters , so they are concentrating on the main routes only . We wont risk it if its bad again , I will ring and say we will get there when we can do safely , we havent been out today at all , our little cul de sac is like a skating rink xx

Apologies for any offence, but there is a local amateur weatherman up hereabouts who is pretty good but very rude and often sweary. I spotted this this morning which made me chuckle.

I spite of my giggling, I do hope all of you in Englandshire are safe and warm.
We might not have the snow here to speak of, but woke up to -7°C outside brrrr.

Yes, he’s right!
I haven’t walked the dogs today because I don’t want to join the metalhipbrigade either! They’ve had a lovely sniff around in the garden (the snow always seems to generate more sniffing!) and I was hoping my grandson take them out there again for a play this afternoon, but it’s now 4.30pm, I think I can hear sounds of stirring upstairs, but it’s dark outside…!

Tuppy seems to think the snow makes Wispa’s old football tasty! Maybe the foxes have been playing with it.

They’ve been quite happy playing the musical sofas game this afternoon, though!

They were talking about the effect of the cold at Scent Club the other night. The snow and the cold keeps it all down, so they do react differently. I'm sure @Beanwood will know all about this and can probably explain more.

I love Tuppy and Wispa and their antics!
Yes, cold weather keeps the Scent cloud small, as well as factoring in wind and position of the odour. Length of time the odour is in situ has an impact on Scentwork, as I found out last week, when we just managed to get the Christmas scent hides in place! The barn though, was minus 3!! :cold::cold:

I was wondering if the cold weather alters the odour of things, maybe makes it less powerful? Most of Joy's favourite games involve finding things by sniffing them out and it's definitely taking her longer in this cold spell we're having. She doesn't seem to mind though, it's more as if she loves the challenge. I can pretty much hear her saying 'Bring it on!'
Pee Ess and she still always finds it!❤
