More snow here this morning. At my age everyone is scaring the pants off me by saying 'be careful you don't break a hip'! However, I need to get out for a walk, can't bear being shut in.

Not quite blizzard conditions here, although we do have an Amber weather warning for the Pennines. We still enjoyed our walk.
Setting off, lots of snow in that sky Daffodils bravely making an appearance, it is March after all!'A starving Labrador surely deserves a treat after all that posing in the snow!'Getting heavier now!Someone once told me that snow settling on a roof was a sign of good insulation, because the heat wasn't escaping. I'm hoping the same is true for dogs.Wise girl, sheltering while I catch up.Nearly home now. Looks like there's more to come.

Still only driving, cold rain here - though the Island is under an amber weather warning for snow & ice, the schools are closed, Government offices closed early..... (there IS snow elsewhere...we rarely get it "down south") - I've just seen the snow line up behind our village as I was driving home, it's not far away.

I'm sitting in my office working (ahem and yes perusing MLF is working in my books) with the portable air-conditioner pointed straight at me as it is stifling. Very warm for early autumn

After a dismal day yesterday when the snow turned to rain we've had a smattering of snow over night and now have the cold wind that was forecast.

My son as an HGV driver frequents Saddleworth and Wakefield several times a week -- he just got home last night for a well earned weekend off, so glad he made it!

Ho hum. We’ve been back in the deep freeze of the -10 to -20s this week and I will say I am getting sick of winter. We are getting another dump of snow tonight. It feels like spring is a long way away. Sigh.

The coldest I have ever been @Lisa was in the Sahara desert in Morocco first thing in the morning. It was around zero. I don't know you you do it! Bit it's all about what you are used to

Just because poor Rita (Steve's sister) hasn't had enough hot weather, there's another heat wave coming next week, back in the mid 30's. It's like Summer started in March instead of December

It's pretty grim here, even by our standards, with high winds, non stop horizontal rain and now the threat of a White Easter! ( Singing 'I'm dreaming of a White Easter ' to oneself does not induce the same happy and cosy feelings as 'White Christmas ' does!) I can now see the river from the spare bedroom window, which is usually a sign that there's going to be flooding. Our house is too high up to flood, but I always worry for those down in the valley bottom. Really hoping that all the work and money that's been put into flood defences pays off this time.
