Eeek! It's a bit wild here! This is the current view through our back door. Has anyone else got Storm Debbie?

It's been wild here this morning/afternoon. There's been a lot of trees down. It's calmed a bit now though.

There was a lot of rain overnight and early this morning (muddy dog!), then it stopped raining but the wind started. Very blustery - later walk was kept very short

Winds of 68mph on Emley Moor, according to the local weather report. I thought it was a bit draughty!

We had branches down overnight Sunday and the wind picked up again towards evening but I don't know what speed. My son was picking up goods from Durham yesterday evening to go to Belfast! But he messaged from Stanraer to say conditions were calmer there and the ferries were running.

It is absolutely foul down here , very heavy rain and thunderstorms forecast for this morning x

Much brighter today, about to set off on our walks.

House and garden appear undamaged thismorning. It's still breezy, but much calmer than yesterday. Still raining too, but, well.....Yorkshire in November! Off for our wet walk shortly.

Joy has pottered out to the garden, had a sniff round, done the necessaries and gone back to bed!
We might not be having a wet walk after all!

50 trees came down onto roads across the Island yesterday! They worked very had to clear them. The department of infrastructure cleared 47 of them and Manx Utilities cleared the other 3 as they involved power lines.

Our walk happened after all! It wasn't too wet, but it was very muddy. A couple of trees down along the towpath, but not too bad considering how windy it was.

Thankyou, it is beautiful, but I tend to forget because I've been walking this way several times a week for about 30 years, so probably tend to take it for granted somewhat. It's good for me to be reminded how lucky I am!
