Yup. I've just driven home in an incredible downpour. The rain broke a tree branch which bounced off my windscreen, how the glass didn't break I don't know. It had stopped by the time I got back, so I didn't actually get wet.

Well, after an all too brief day of beautiful sunshine yesterday, today we are back to being Wet, Wild and Windy West Yorkshire again. The sad thing is that it's feeling almost reassuringly normal!

After a few relatively calm days we're well and truly back to wild, wet and windy here tonight, with wuthering around the house and down the chimney.
The funny thing is that we're so used to it that it's actually quite a comforting sound and just feels like home. (Not so good when you have to go out in it though. )
