Thanks everyone. I’ve just about stopped! I had arranged to go on a nice walk with some friends this evening, but they didn’t call for thinking I wouldn’t want to. Well, quite the opposite, so when I called them and they were already out, I (literally) ran up the mountain to catch them. We had a good giggle at the expense of one of the ladies who was totally hamming up what we were putting her through. “But it’s getting dark!!”... “Yes, it tends to do that at night”
While I was out, the window was fixed, so we are no longer exposed to the elements, hurrah!
Yes, it’s very easy to live in the “shoulda, woulda, coulda”, but at the end of the (admittedly rather trying) day, there was very little real damage done, and nothing lasting. So no point letting it blow out of proportion.
Talked to my sister this evening. Yesterday, she had to administer CPR to a three-year-old child, and attend to someone who had just become a quadriplegic. Yeah, a broken window and a few cuts isn’t the end of the world.
But thank you all for your concern; very much appreciated to get the sympathy when I’m feeling low x
