What do you think this dog is saying?

I have just taken a photograph of Cupar, similar eyes and I know what he's thinking.
A photo is capturing a second, the eyes can change in the next second, so I would need to see a lot more before making a decision on what this dogs face is saying. When Cupar sees a strange dog his pupils enlarge, his eyes turn black, this dogs eyes may be in the process of changing when the photograph was taken.

I see a dog that's alert, interested. I would however let the dog make the first move because those side-swept ears indicate the slightest bit of nervousness to me.
